John and Ann Schue moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1971 and opened Accurate TV. Their son, Darrell, worked at the store part-time all through school.

In 1983 Darrell and Elizabeth Schue bought the store and changed the name to Accurate Audio Video. This was the same year their first child, Ryan was born.

After graduating from CSUSacramento, Ryan returned to Tahoe and joined the staff at Accurate Audio Video, being the third generation to work in the constantly evolving family business.

Accurate started out as a small repair shop with a few televisions and stereos for sale. Today, we not only have one of the largest selections of flat screen televisions and stereo systems in the

region, we also design and install home theater and home control systems. We design systems that can control heating, lighting, shades, cameras and audio video equipment. All these features can be controlled remotely over the internet or through easy to use remote controls.

Even though the business is constantly changing with technology, Accurate’s priority has remained the same through the years; to give unparalleled customer service. Accurate’s success has been providing quality products at competitive prices with expert installation and service.
